About Hybrid Creative

Hospitality design is a specialized discipline that goes far beyond aesthetics. A hospitality-focused interior designer understands guest flow, seating density, kitchen adjacency, ADA compliance, commercial-grade material specifications, and how lighting and acoustics shape the dining experience. At Hybrid Creative, our Miami-based team has designed over 150,000 square feet of restaurant, bar, and lounge interiors -- including projects like Oro on Lincoln Road and Ghee Indian Kitchen in Wynwood. That depth of experience means fewer costly mistakes, faster permitting, and spaces that perform as well as they look.

Hybrid Creative was founded by Patricia Duran, a Miami-based interior designer with a background in architecture and luxury hospitality. Patricia has collaborated with major hospitality groups including Marriott and Hyatt, worked alongside James Beard Award-winning chefs, and trained at Saladino Design Studios. Her work has been recognized in Hospitality Design Magazine, Luxe Magazine, the Miami Herald, and Eater Miami, and her project Erba was shortlisted for the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards.

Our studio is based in Miami, and the majority of our work is concentrated across South Florida -- including Miami Beach, Wynwood, Brickell, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. We have completed hospitality and residential projects throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. For the right project, we are open to work beyond South Florida.

Services

We specialize in two areas: hospitality design and high-end residential design. Our hospitality portfolio includes full-service restaurants, bars, hotel dining concepts, lounges, and entertainment venues. On the residential side, we design luxury homes, condominiums, and private spaces. We also offer standalone design consultations and custom furniture fabrication for clients who need bespoke pieces built to specification.

Restaurant and bar design is the core of our practice. Our Miami hospitality portfolio includes Oro and Elixir on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, Ghee Indian Kitchen in the Wynwood Arts District, Paya on Miami Beach, and The Tips in Doral. We handle every aspect of restaurant interior design -- from spatial planning, custom banquette seating, and bar design to material selection, lighting design, and FF&E procurement. Whether you are opening a new concept or renovating an existing venue, we design spaces that elevate the guest experience and support your operational needs.

Yes. We have experience collaborating with hotel operators and hospitality groups on dining concepts, lobby bars, and guest-facing spaces. Our understanding of brand standards, durability requirements, and high-traffic material specifications makes us a strong partner for hotel interior design projects across South Florida.

Custom fabrication is integral to our design process. We design and produce bespoke furniture, built-in millwork, custom cabinetry, and fixture packages tailored to each project. For Ghee Indian Kitchen, every piece of furniture was custom-made and imported from India. This level of craftsmanship ensures that every element in the space feels intentional and specific to the project's narrative -- not sourced from a catalog.

Process & Timeline

Our process follows four phases. First, discovery -- we learn about your brand, your audience, and the experience you want to create. Second, design development -- we produce schematic layouts, 3D renderings, material palettes, and construction documents. Third, project management -- we coordinate contractors, oversee procurement, manage timelines, and handle quality control throughout construction. Fourth, installation and styling -- we stage the space with all furnishings, accessories, and finishing details so you can open your doors to a fully realized interior. Throughout every phase, we keep you informed with regular updates, photo documentation, and transparent communication.

Timelines depend on scope, permitting, and construction complexity. A typical Miami restaurant buildout ranges from three to nine months from concept to completion. For reference, we completed Paya -- a full-service Caribbean-inspired restaurant in Miami Beach -- in just under three months. Larger or more complex hospitality projects with extensive custom fabrication or permitting requirements may take longer. We establish a realistic timeline during our initial consultation and manage the schedule proactively throughout.

Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with architects, general contractors, MEP engineers, and other consultants already on your project team. We also maintain a network of trusted construction partners, millwork fabricators, and specialty vendors across South Florida that we can recommend if you are still assembling your team.

Investment

Interior design investment varies significantly based on the size of the space, the complexity of the concept, and the level of custom fabrication involved. Our portfolio includes projects ranging from intimate 1,500-square-foot dining concepts to multi-venue developments exceeding 8,000 square feet. Design fees are typically structured as a percentage of the overall project budget or as a flat fee based on scope. We are happy to discuss budget expectations during an initial consultation to ensure alignment before any commitment.

Yes. We structure our engagements in phases -- typically discovery, concept design, design development, and construction administration. Each phase has a defined scope and fee, giving you visibility into costs at every stage and the flexibility to adjust as the project evolves. This approach works well for both first-time restaurant owners and experienced hospitality operators.

Getting Started

Reach out through our contact page with a brief overview of your project -- the type of space, your location, your estimated timeline, and any initial budget considerations. We will follow up to schedule a consultation where we discuss your vision, goals, and how Hybrid Creative can bring your space to life. Whether you have a fully developed concept or just a rough idea, the best time to bring in a designer is as early as possible -- before lease signing or construction begins.

The most helpful starting points are a rough sense of your project scope, an estimated budget range, and your target timeline for completion. If you have existing floor plans, lease agreements, brand guidelines, or visual references that inspire you, those are valuable as well. Do not worry if you are early in the process -- many of our best projects started with nothing more than a vision and a blank space.
